how can i keep my tank clean of algie.

Well algae grows from light, so it will appear. There are different types of algae, but im guessing you have the kind that is on your glass. Some things you can do to get rid of algae are to scrape the algae off of the glass using a certain tool (forgot what it was called) or you can buy a fish that will eat algae (you will have to feed the fish a seperate food though as it will not survive on just algae from the tank). I think there are other ways of getting rid of algae also, but I dont know them. If your considering getting a fish, what is the size of your tank?
