Algea From Pool

i have this pool that has been sitting untreated is it ok to put some water or algea from the pool in my tank to help jump start the cycling process?

The pool had chlorine in it about 1 1/2 year ago. Will the algea from the pool help my tank? :stupid:

There is nothing in the water or the algae that will have any bearing at all on helping to cycle a tank. All you would be doing is adding a bunch or potential parasites and other nasties that could wreak havoc on your tank later on.
