just wondering which would be the best to get to help me fight the constant algea threat. i cant really have anything thats gonna get to big say over 10cm. any ideas?

It really depends on the type algae you have. Different fish and shrimp eat different types. You need to identify the algae you have and try to figure out what is causing it. Most algae is caused by overfeeding and too much light. Is the tank exposed to direct sunlight? How long do you have your lights on each day? How often do you feed the fish? How often do you do water changes and maintenance? All of those are factors that effect algae.
