Algea Disks

Well, what I actually have in my posession is HIKARI TROPICAL WAFERS, but I have read the ingredients for HIKARI ALGEA WAFERS, and these were the ingredients I was talking about in the original post. It also turns out that both hikari's tropical wafers, and their "algea wafers" have nearly identical ingredients.
A lot of the algae eaters are also in the 'scavenger' category. So the wafers are probably a 'well balanced diet'. Anyway thats my explanation :)

If it helps I have used both and the Wardley's will soften and disolve more quickly than the Hikari. I never noticed the difference in the ingredients and just assumed that the Hikari were the better choice for me since I didn't like the disks turning into a green powder-like substance before being eaten (about 5-10 minutes)
It does seem odd to use fish meal for herbivores but I guess they are in need of protein also. I would look at the total nutritional values for comparison too.

Hikari Wafers

Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein 32% Min.
Crude Fat 4% Min.
Crude Fiber 5% Max.
Moisture 10% Max.
Ash 12% Max.

Wardley Premium Algae Discs

Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein (Minimum) 32%
Crude Fat (Minimum) 3%
Crude Fiber (Maximum) 6%
Moisture (Maximum) 6%
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) (Minimum) 1,400 mg/kg

But Wardley's says this "Fortified with vitamin C for increased disease resistance and rapid tissue repair."
It looks like it is up to your fish's preference as to which one you use.
