What should I get, I am looking for something small, they currently reside in a 20 gal, but am going to upgrade. Feeding them bloodworm and flake. Find Brown stuff on glass and gravel, doing water changes at least once a week, feeding twice a day. I am also willing to get more than one if necessary.

Get a nice 2-1/2" - 3" Rhino Pleco...
They're nice looking, interesting, do a GREAT job on the algae, and when they get 5"+ they're worth something...

Won't bother the Calvus none...

i had the same trouble just 2 days ago but i also had 2 yellow labs in there and a brichardi in a slighty bigger tank (this is just temporary until i get the 70g back up and running) my fist killed 3 common plecos of all different sizes from 5in to 3 in and my twig catfish died in the move :-( so i bought 2 fish labeled alge eaters and they have stood up strong and eaten all the brown alge

stay away from cae's (chinese algae eaters)

placidochromis milomo does a good job of eating the algae. small, quick and like to be on their own except when breeding they will seek out a mate. have no use for other fish but do not bother others either
