I have had my tank for just over a year now. This week i got fed up with the rear glass looking dirty with algae and cleaned it completely. It now looks amazing. I have read that algae is not a bad thing and was therefor reluctant to remove it, have i done a bad or will this be ok.

I have this same on the back glass.
its too much of a pain for me to remove it. and doesnt really look bad with the rest of my tank. so I think its ok

Algae doesn't really harm fish, if you have fish that like to eat it then keep it, but if it's a nuisance and an eyesore, scrape it off
