Algae has start appearing in my figure 8 puffer tank, what should i do to slove the problem open to any suggestions

Are you overfeeding? If so, more nitrites and nitrates mean more algae.

Do you have plants in there? What are the levels in the tank water? Ammonia, nitrites, etc.
