Ive got a 7 month old tank which was cycling for nearly 3 months (fishless cycling). Now, I have a algae problem! There is a big patch of it on one side of the glass that i cant get off! Ive tried to scrubb it with all sorts of pads! Also, Theres white bits floatin in the water and stuck to things like the suction cups and the filter hose, heater etc Anyone got any advice how to get this off and get my water crystal clear?? this is my set up

Juwel Trigon 190L
Eheim external 2213 (i think)
origional internal juwel filter
Bare bottom tank! with some potted plants and bogwood
5 Discus
1 clown oach
5 black neons and 2 dianos

re: the patch stuck on the glass, if you can't scrubs it off, try using one of the razor blade scrapers you use to scrape paint off windows etc, you can get them in any hardware store
how long do you have the lights on of a day? reducing the lighting period is one way to help with algae

Im scared using a blade! Knowing me id slice the silicone!!! Light is only on for 6 hours a day, I might reduce this for the time beeing! This white bits in the water is my most concern! Its like a big cloud coming out of the spray bar (external filter) And no, the tank isnt cycling! all the water prams are fine. I want my water to be crystal clear!! I do 30% water change every other day. Thanks for the advice
