Algae Wafers

i have 1 mickey platy, 1 cremesicle lyretail molly, 1 black molly, 2 black skirt tetras, and 1 emerald green cory in my 10 gallon tank. i put a wafer in and they all crowded around it. is it ok for the fish other than the cory to eat it? i dont want me fish to get sick.
