Hi

I've just brought some algae wafers of the internet (arrived this morning). Anyway, on the packet it says that it is perfect for catfish, plecs etc.
Well, I thought that my 4 catfish and my algae eater would love me for it!
So, I put one into the tank and it floats! - I think this is useless to fed animals that live on the bottom of the tank!

Does anyone else who feeds algae wafers or who has in the past know how to get them to sink???

Thanks in advance :look:

All of the algae wafers (I actually get sinking wafers rather than algae wafers as corys don't particularly like the algae wafers) I have ever bought sank. As you said, it seems pretty useless if they float. Sometimes they have to soak up a little water before they will go down.

I haven't used any algae wafers that are made to float. But, sometimes they will float if they are shaped like bowls and get air trapped under them.

Well mine sink all I do is kinda gently throw them in there and they float for about a second then they sink.
