Algae, The Brown Stuff Everywhere!

Ok, so I get just a little green algae on the glass which I get off easily if the Ottos don't get it first.

It's this brown stuff

It's on my plastic logs, my 3d background and my broad leaf (real) plants.

No fish seem to feed on it

I have my 2 lights on (25w each) 6 hours am and 6 hours pm. ie am 7-1.....pm 5-11

My canopy has a third light which is sort of pink and is 20w but I don't use it.....should I?

I have quite a lot of plants and my set up is in my sig.

Any advice

iv got the same problem in my shrimp tank, i kept the light on when i had nothing in there, i used it 4 a night-light, and i had some plants in there which i have now taken out.
i think its usually light that causes the problem but might not be helped by rotting plants
