Hey guys,

I need some more advice on algae problems. I just got rid of my Pleco a few weeks ago and that's proving to be a mistake. Algae has taken over my tank and I don't know what to do. This happened before I got the Pleco and now that he's gone it's started again. Any advice anyone?

Thanks,
Becky

Is that tank in any direct sunlight?

What size tank is it? Otto's love brown algae!

You must taking them out and wash them very good. And clean the algae on glass by a dry towel or algea magnet that removes them easily. The main problem for algae is that your tank is that goldfish are very dirty fish also which is helping algae to grow quickly. You might also be overfeeding them and foods remain on the gravel for a long period.
