well, i had many algae problems when i first had my tank, eventually i gave up trying to rid of it.
Only now (4-5 months after tank was setup) have i stopped getting algae! Why? I have no idea. I think it may have been because the tanks parameters are now stable.
So i guess an easy way out of algae is time.
