I don't know how much a cap is? A cap of easycarbo is like 20-30ml which is far too much! You have to be careful, like dosing anything in a tank but shrimp and kuhlis will be fine, I have amanos, bamboo and kuhlis and the slight overdosing I do doesn't appear to effect them at all. Maybe a little syringe would be useful? you can get them from boots chemist...
That turnover sounds better, hopefully as you say the nutrients will be distributed better but also more waste isn't left to settle.
