I haven’t had algae Problems for a long time and my live plants are healthy and grow great. The key is lowlight. Quick fix- put duct tape over some of the led lights

edit* as. Someone here pointed out Duct tape might not be a good idea because of the heat and the glue so I removed it and used permanent markers it works like a charm. It was a little warm with the duct tape but I thought it wouldnt be with the LED lights

Put duct tape over the light and melt the plastic. Fantastic idea. That won't give off any toxic fumes what-so-ever. (/sarcasm)

Actually you’re probably right I’m going to take it off and go over some of the lights with a black permanent marker and let it sit and let the alcohol evaporate at least heat will be able to escape
