Algae In Tank

hi all,
hope you all had a great christmas and have a happy new year!!
My tank is about 5-6 weeks old now and i have noticed my first signs of algae on the glass, do iu need to clean it up or is it better to leave it until i buy a catfish/algae eater which i cannot buy as i am recycing the tank and need to change the water every other day to keep ammonia levels down.

Ammonia + light= algae. If you are doing a fish less cycle turn the lights off they serve no purpose in a fish less cycle. Getting a algae eater fish will not clean a dirty tank, rather graze on random patches. If you start off with a clean tank they will keep it under control.

Itb wouldnt hurt to clean it from the glass as youll need to eventually any way and it would be easier to clean it now rather than later
