I saw these little guys at my lfs the other day. Anyone have any info on them? Are the relatively easy to care for?

I've never heard of algae-eating shrimps (not that it means anything...there are lots of things I haven't heard of!). I've read that ghost shrimp are supposed to help control hair algae though.

Helpful, ain't I? :D :p

He is probably talking about amano shrimps which are known to eat algae... I'm gonna find out soon since I'll be purchasing them within a week... :D

When you say he, I'm assuming you mean me (a lady ;) ). I've seen a pic of amano shrimp, and they don't look quite the same as the guys I brought home today. My shrimp have sort of a blue-ish "tint" to them, and have small speckles all over. Maybe they are amano shrimp, and just look different. Neat little shrimp,, whatever they are. Very active.
