Just wondering if you get algae in a betta tank whats the best way to keep the algae down is there any type of fish you can put in there to cure the problem or is it just shrimp or snails which is best to use?

Thanks.

the tank is a 2ftx1ftx1ft its about 10G i think. it used to be divided into 2 but the other one died now he got the all tank to himself.

Thanks

24"x12"x12" is almost 15 gallons. Otos are such fun little guys. I highly recommend them and they (usually) make good betta tankmates. With a tank that size get 3 of them (they prefer groups). I had one oto (before I knew they liked groups) in with one of my bettas before and they got on great. :) Oh, and they are algea eating machines!

What do you guys recomend for a 6 gallon tank? I have 1 betta in a 6 gallon and I sure could use some help with Algae.

Thanks,
