Cheer up, the worst is yet to come. ~ P. Johnson
I was told brown algae was caused by not enough light ... I was also told that the green algae was caused by too much light. So how do I manage to have both in the tank at the same time?
And an even better question, what do I do about it?
My brackish tank has loads of this brown algae in it. I'm thinking its because the water is too dark coloured because of the wood. It all returns within 3 days though, so I'm going nuts here.
My dwarf puffer tank, is overrun by brown AND green algae *shrug* ... brown is like, everywhere, but mostly on the glass. The green is only to be found on the sand, rocks and pots, not on the glass. I cant find a bristlenose around here, so thats not an option. Any ideas what to do here? (Tried leaving the light off for 3 days, green algae left the first time but was back within 4 days, second time it didnt even bother going anymore)
help?
Other tanks are fine and algae free. It seems to be the smaller tanks only!
