Easycarbo/ excel will not kill BGA as it isnt really an algae.
Best way it to do a 50% water change while removing as much algae as possible, then cover the tank up for 3-5days (depending on seriousness) without feeding or peeking etc and stop any fertilisation and/ or CO2 injection. After the blackout do another 50-70% water change to remove the dead algae spores.
This should clear you problem. It may come back so you will have to look why you are getting it in the First place.

poor flow/ circulation - in a planted tank we aim for 10x turnover to minimize dead spots, i am unsure of how much decor (rocks & wood) you have in your tank which could be slowing the circulation.
WHere the BGA is growing, jow is the flow in that area?
