I've had an Albino rainbow shark in my tank (125l) for 3 years now.

He is around 4-5 inches long and the most peaceful fish considering I was once warned they may be semi aggressive.

He doesn't really ever move that much, which is expected. It has its own undercover hidey hole under a large piece of wood which it dug out itself (ignored all my efforts to put hidey holes in).

I haven't changed anything to my weekly schedule at all. Still do a weekly 30% water change, add in aqua carbon for my plants and add in trace elements.
There is plenty of filtration (Juwel internal 600lph filter, tetratec ex700 and also a 2300lph hydor koralia for extra turnover)

All I've changed recently is starting to feed My link this food since I thought my previous foods weren't sustaining my 2 Angelfish (about 3.5 inches in diameter each) and the shark enough.

The other stock is:

1 cardinal tetra
2 bronze corys
2 striped loaches
2 angel fish
5 harlequin rasboras
4 rummy nose tetras
3 black phantom tetras.

Yes, the stocking is poor. But I'm afriad adding more cardinals will mean that they will get eaten. Originally, the cardinals and other small fish (who have died from old age as they have all been with me for about 3-4 years) were larger than the angels, and the angels have grown more, so haven't eaten the other fish.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi - you forgot to say exactly what is wrong with your shark and why you think he is "on his way out".

Does he have any physical symptoms?

What are your recent water stats?

That's a beautiful looking tank in your sig by the way!

My bad aha. I had so much in my head I wanted to include and obviously forgot to say.

He looks like he is bloated. Not really the whole length of its underbelly, but just past the head and the bloatedness runs for about 1.5 inches then it goes back to the normal body shape.

He is also just sitting on one of the stones, supporting itself on the glass. So is being really inactive. Usually he would be in his hidey hole.

Thanks, its worse now I think. That picture is over a year old :p

Its a possibility.

I've decreased the amount I'm feeding so hopefully only my angels can feed on it. So I'm not too sure if he has had any. Since to feed him I usually get the food sticks and then make them go halfway in using a net so they fall to the bottom quicker and I stopped that.

Also, I don't have any testing kits. The tank has been stable for 3 years now so at a guess I'd say 0,0,65? :p

Anyone?

Here are some pictures of him:
