Hi

I got an Albino Cory catfish this morning and a bronze one. The bronze one seems OK, hoovering the gravel and looks OK. However, the albino is going 'mental!' he's swimming around very very fast just up and done into the glass up to the surface around the bottom - in general all over the place.

WHY IS THIS?

Ah, but it need to be 3 Albino and 3 Bronze (Well i mite be wrong there so dont quote me just yet)

Kev

Actually, bronze and albino are the same species of cory so you would only need to get either one more bronze or albino. And yes, his bahavour is normal.

acually, there are albino versions of the "pepered" cory quite common too...and there's the albino sterbai, panda, gossei, etc

IME they are spend half their time being totally hyper and half their time skulking in their cave, there is no in between.
Mine were particularly hyper when they were new to the tank, then they went through a phase of hardly showing themselves at all. Now they do hyper in the morning and invisible in the afternoon. Once you know it's normal you'll be able to enjoy it.
Oh, and if you see one of them swimming at right angles to the other and sucking vigorously at its side, this is not a vicious attack on his mate's slime coat: it's their idea of passionate sex!

seems normal they r exploring new tank. Every time I move my cory arround they use to do this. But will stop in a few days :)?
