Whilst picking up a few bits and pieces today, I succumbed (again) to the temptation of bringing fish home with me. In this case, an albino bristlenose.
I think/hope it's a female, about 2 inches or so long and not a bristle in sight. Is the fish mature enough yet to tell one way or the other? I'm hoping so. I have a regular male bristlenose in the tank, though he's a bit bigger, maybe just over 3 inches. Is there a possibility (assuming my new fish is indeed female) that the pair might spawn sometime in the future? Or is the size difference and the albino/non-albino thing an obstacle?
If not, it's not a problem. I kept a female bristlenose once before (she died unfortunately, when my tank went through a bad couple of months) and found them to be more active than the males. But I would love to try and spawn them later on, if at all possible.
