My male always gets his colour back wonderfully after releasing fry... unfortunately he decided to release the majority of them while I was taking a chemistry test, so I'm sure some got eaten. It looked like a mouthful of 6-7, but I only found three... c'est la vie, three is better than none!

Here is Mr. albi chilling with an imbellis, who is still highly disturbed as I had just spent the last 10 minutes swishing around in their tank with a turkey baster looking for fry :p

Question Synirr!

I know that when the male releases the fry, but how do you catch them. Please share tips!! I'm looking at the pics and see the sand. . and I'd be freaking out that I couldn't find them in the sand :S But I'm soo freaky paranoid anyway. . .. . B) so not cool!

The babies are completely black, so they're easy to see against the light sand. I just suck 'em up with a turkey baster

It's nice to know that Turkey basters can be used other than during Thanksgiving. :p

Boy that male has colored up really nice. I am  over him. Must join IBC after I move to Miami and get me a pair of those! Gotta help the conservation.

I've always loved Betta albimarginata, along with Betta macrostoma. Very lovely.

Ya! My 2000th post!

Aw crap, I didn't get around to separating them soon enough it seems. I got home today and he's holding again
Ok, let's do this ONE MORE TIME I guess.
