Airstones

I have a air stone that normally would go inside a tube I heard from another site that if I take it out of the tube that they like to play with the bubbles. I tryed this my betta seems to move his fins alot more but I cant really tell if he likes it. I dont want to hurt him.. would it be to strong? any advice you could give me please? thanks

Welcome to the betta forums, the airstone/current you have in your tank is 'probably' too strong for your betta to stand with. He is most probably going to tire himself out to death trying to fight the current. Unless you could put something in the to stop the bubble reaching him he might be ok. I would just keep it in the tube for the UGF (Assuming that's what it is) or take the airstone of and just use the tubing

How big is the tank? If it's small, you don't need an airstone at all.
