Airstone

Would I be able to cut an airstone in half because it creates to big of a current in my fry tank(4 gallons US)? Click my eggs!

No. But you can buy a t valve that lets you bleed off some of the air so not all of the air coming from the pump makes it to the airstone. I used to run them in all of my fry tanks when i bred betas. I think I still have 4 or 5 in the basement. I'll check the brand name for you.

They are called 2 way gang valve.
