is it good practice to use a co2 injection (small plastic canister) as well as an airstone?

i only got the airstone today as the temp is high in the tank 26.5 c - ( ive turned the heater off for the last two days)

i thought the fish would benifit from the airstone. most of my fish like temps on or below 26 c.

i did not know when i bought the fish that the water temp would be so high.

so do i need the airstone and will it affect the co2.

any advice would help :(

An airstone will affect the CO2 levels, the extra surface aggitation will release the CO2 in the water a lot quicker.
The airstone isnt needed really, the fish should be fine with a temp of 26.

Which fish are you keeping?

5 dwarf blue rainbow
6 platies
2 rosy barb
2 white cloud from old tank
1 zebra danio
2 gold dwarf gourami
2 yo yo loach

gold gourami seem to hide behind intake pipe - rarely seen out.
