I was changing water and having a clear up in my tank.

I left the room for 2 minutes to empty a bucket, whilst gone the fore and rear sections of the Juwel lid had been lifted off and the middle section pushed to the back of the tank.

When I returned to the room my CHihuahua went mad behind my television, about 2 feet from my tank.

Luckily I went to see wht had attracted her attention.

Calamity! My venustus was on the floor, having a really bad time.
I popped him back in the tank and he seems none the worse for wear.

Oh the joys of cichlid keeping.

Poor guy probably assumed that since the lid was open food was on the way, when you didn't fufill your end of the bargain he went seeking the food pots on his own.
