proberly not the right place for this, but was'nt shore. So mods please move if it wrong to be here. ;)

for all those that use BBS hatchery's, what size air pumps do you use, I using a Hi-Tect (sp) 1000, and it seem way to strong for the little bottle.

I going to my LFS this weekend, so any advice on what to buy would be great.

Thanks

i have a rena 50 or something, the weakest of them all
you don't need strong for hatchery, it's just to make sure the water is well oxygenated

you could maybe buy a valve and then control how mcuh bubbles are popping out?

I use a valve with my air pumps.

I use a rena 50 on mine but its also sectioned off to supply 2 sponge filters. It still works pretty hard in the BBS hatchery but I read somewhere that you should have as much disturbance in there as you can so don't worry too much. As long as you're not blasting the water out of the hatchery  I make a lid out of tin foil to put over the open end of my coke bottle to avoid splattering :D

Joby's right, the more disturbance the better, from what I’ve read that is, I always have 2 air lines running off a 4 way pump in my hatchery, but I use a 6/7 litre tank.
If eggs settle on the bottom or side they have a lower chance of hatching (again from what I have read on the internet - and we all know everything on here is correct) :S
