Air Pump...

Heya, im just wondering with a juwel filter do you really need an air pump?

I'm not overly familiar with Juwel filters, but if it's jsut the stadard 'oh yes, it aerates the water' jobbie, then as long as the filter agitates the surface enough then no.

I think it is, i do have one just incase but its to loud

nah you dont need one, you can tilt the output on the juwel filter to create some good surface movement

Hi, I have a Juwel tank. I have put in an airstone which I only run in the evening because A. I have a large Pleco and they appreciate the extra movement and B. I like the look of the bubbles! It isn't essential to have one but it's nice.

hmm good idea when i get fish in a might run it depend whats fish i get and how like the current, still cycling
