Air Pump Connection

I am having trouble with my hose connection from the pump to my skimmer. The bloody thing keeps blowing of at the pump !! Is this a common problem ? How much of an effect will it have on my tank if left un-noticed for a few hours eg whilst at work ?

Ive tried glueing it on but again I found it blown off !!!

what brand of skimmer is it? And what pump?
