i have been looking at a few tanks now on here and i have always had fast flowing water in my milawi tank, it is only a lil 2ft tank with 5 lil fish in it, later moving to a larger tank but none of u seem to have many bubbles..lol

mine swim up and down against them all day and was wondering weather i should stop it if u guys think it better, i must admit it does bloke there view a lil!!

many thanks.

theres nothing wrong with having air bubbles in the tank but my preferance like some others is not to have them, like you have already mentioned, they spoil the view of the tank, more so in a small tank. you have noticed that not many folk use the air pumps because the modern day filters are designed if possitioned correctly to oxoginate the water as it disturbs the waters surface.
hope this helps :good:

cheers brewyn...

i have a ehiem undergravel and a fluval 3 in it, if i turn the valve on the eheim closed it should still work if the valve on the head is still open??.. and also the same if i close the top valve on the fluval, wood love to see the fish better, so bubbles are not impotant, just water movment??.. i would send a pic but i clicked the image link and it says url??.. all mine are saved to my comp?.. any help??...lol

cheers, help much appriciated!! :D

as long as your only shutting down the ventura sysem (air hose at the top) and you have the outlets level with the water then you should be fine, if you notice your fish hovering at the top too much then raise the filter up a bit more.

with regards to uploading photos, transfere to the photo bucket, link here

see what ya mean about the air bubbles!!!! some nice colours in there, did not pay much attention to the interior of the tank so no critisism from me :good:

cool, well if everything looks good then il leave them.., sorry to be a pain and i have been reading other posts about this but my black fish.(male) and female have been locking mouths and pushing each other back and forth, then she sucks on his side and he does hers, then spin around, he then sits back under the filter and only comes out to see her, the female is alot bigger as in 8 fair sized egg spots and a white marble colour, my black fish turns white when she is around him and they play!!!.. it is mad to see but he does go white!!..lol
i no the tanks is small and i dont have another just yet but she has dug a few holes and im worried they will breed and in such a small tank what will happen??.. im guessing world war 3!!.. ha ha, , il post a video!!
