Ahhhhh Just Found My Two Kribs With Babys! Help

eek today while i was about to clean the tank i saw these little minature versions of kribs hanking around my parent krib! there about 2mm long and about 8 of them. i honestly dont know what to do now in the tank there in right now theres 3 zebra loaches,9white clouds,6neons,and one very small Pearl gourmai i havent got another tank to place them in so do u think they will be fine with there parents? i dont know what the little babys are eating right now there just pecking around and eating stuff off the floor
i think the zebra's are trying to eat them casue whenever they come out the male krib just freaken chases it till it goes under my piece of wood

some might survive. there suprisingly good at hiding.


ive still got the odd convict fry hanging around in my big tank and thats after about 3 months and there in there with all sorts of big fish.

I just had the same thing in a community tank with about 100 fry but it was the parents first time and they ate them Apparently that happens quite a lot so be warned. Their second or third batches are often more successful.
Kirbs are VERY protective parents - ours turned our community tank into a whirlpool with one of them constantly chasing the other fish while the other watched the babies.
As samUK said, some may survive because they are very good at hiding. If you want to make sure they survived, you would probably need to put the remaining 8 into a breeding trap as the rest will have already been eaten either by mum and dad or by other fish. Getting them into the breeding trap is easier said than done though - I tried to catch the last 2 fry that had been hiding from mum and dad but as soon as they sense danger ie. other fish or my net, they burrow down into the gravel, making it impossible to get them out without hurting them as they are so small

Also Kribs are African cichlids, not NW.
