Fish Crazy
so I gave up on the 'saw mill biotype' which was going to be a tank based on the pond where I work. the (Im guessing anyway) bluegill fry are loose in my out door pond, they can sort out out with the goldfish and koi. the snails are in the turtle tank, and the lilly roots are in the turtle tank, and the pond. I also tossed some duckweed in the turtle and cichlid tanks.. was surprised to still see living plants 24 hours later. will have to see what develops. I have arranged for the day they fill that pond in to not be working, and the management has accepted that I am just a weirdo and I am going to save every fish that I can.
I have a pick up truck, a couple of nets, and a about a dozen tubs of various sizes. theres a bit of interest in what I am doing so I hope to have some help and someone to take pics. there are several rivers/lakes around here including a slow moving area attached to a major river that I intend to dump everything I can identify an native to this area.
While I have failed so far, if I can catch a mudpuppy, I still intend to set up a tank for one... but after alot of hours.. I've had no success so far.
for those that missed my other posts. I work at a sawmill, and an area of land that is currently a pond/swamp (for lack of a better def.) is going to be filled in for a parking lot/storage area. I was attempting to catch one of the mud puppies in there as I think they are cool... but I have had no luck. next week, the entire area will be a gravel parking lot. I know for a fact there are bluegill, bass, and there are rumors of channel cats released in there... and I suspect they are down there somewhere.
