Ok so I have access to another tank that is big enough to house all of my fish temporarily. I believe it is a 50 gallon and I have a 55 gallon. I want to go the ammonia route. How much would I put in my current tank once my fish are removed? Do I need to worry about my plants or will they be okay? I only have the one HOB filter and heater so how long could my fish go in the other tank without them as I want them to sit in the ammonia water for a while to disinfect them. How long does the original tank need to sit in the ammonia bath to be sure the snails are dead?
