Ahh Rust!

well, I woke up this morning and discovered a rusted alligator clip in my aquarium. Apparently someone/thing accidently dropped it in there and didn't tell me about it. The rust isn't that bad, however, I'm still concerned over the problems that this may cause on the chemicals on my aquarium. Anyone have any advice or input?

I had a plant with a wire center that rusted out on me. The only problems I had were with some serious algae growth! If you have a planted tank, you shouldn't notice a difference at all.
