right well first i looked into my tank and my female was lying on the floor and wouldnt move so i poked her and she swam off. she is the preg one. im not sure if she was stuck under the shell or giving birth i dont know! then i fed them and they had some food but now they are all eating things off the floor and pushing the pebbles about to get stuff from underneath them them. could she of given birth and they are eating the fry???? oh and my male is dying he keeps lying in the bottom and everytime he swims he floats down :( bless im hes reli old! x anyway any help would be great! (btw i cant see any fry !! :()

thanks

they arnt going as mad as they were before when they were pushing the pebbles about but the preg female still is! what do you think just happened?

normally when a pregnant is giving birth it will be at the bottom like slidding aganist the gravel or pebbles. do u see a babie coming out. head will be coming out first. umm... u sure she could just resting. have u done any water changes, or is it possible to do a water check. its a bit odd that there are two fish at the bottom. is there anything on them

actually, they usually hide behind plants, filter, heater, and stay still, they will breathe fast, and you can usually see fry popping out. They won't come head-first all the time, some will come out tail-first. The fry stay at the bottom for a while, then they swim so it's possible they were looking for the fry and eating them. Is th female skinier than before? Can you see anymore fry popping out, or is she breathign fast? Can you post the water params? What other fish are in the tank? How many fish and which are lying on the bottom? Any other symptoms? Are they swimming jerkily, to one side, or sliding against the pebbles? What size is the tank? Can you see anything on the fish? How does it look when they poop? Are any of the fish noticabley skinnier? Is there anything on the fish? How long has this been going on for?

how is she today? thanks 4 ur advice mommyof2bettas i convinced my dad and now i just got to save some money up,

To be honest your fish in the clips don't look very pregnant so i would rule that out first. When a guppy is close she looks like she's gonna explode.

I'll go test your water conditions first if i was you and then test your water after again to see how good it is..

Course she could be just resting or not feeling well, so you need to keep an eye on them.

i think it just worked out she was resting because they are acting normal today. and the female is lookin fat. i just think she was resting because it was at night with the lights of so yeah. well my male is still alive but he is nearly dead now :( hes really old though. so all this was her resting and i dont think she had any babies beacuse shes still fat. and before they started moving the pebbles i fed them so they were just lookin 4 food probs.

thanks

Yes they do that all the time, you need to be a little more time to wait there not going to have them any quicker then when their ready, so wait till they get fat and then enjoy!

i have to agree just wait and when it looks massive then it will most likely give birth

yep shes lookin way fatter than in that vid and pics i showed u but shes not that fat yet :) cant wait for them hehe. well my male is still alive but hes still on the floor and hiding away bless im. but when he does go i can get another female and then my female wont get harrased any more because he only goes for the 1 female so im looking for a big healthy not to young female to buy now :)
