I don;t know how they got in.. maybe they where their all along and jsut now are coming or or maybe they came in on the plants.. but I blech bathed them! I don't get it!

They are little white things that swim In a spiral and then stop.. then swim again ina spiral. Are they bad? and if so how can I kill them? If they are not harmful to fish then Nevermind.. but tell me..

I jsut checked several dieases sites and I can't find anything about these worms being partacitic or anything like that...

no, anchor worms are actualyl crustations and not actual worms when they are babies.. and I don't think you can see them untill they are larger. If they are what should i do?

there are readily available treatments for anchor worms..but I doubt it is anchor worms.......does it appear to have.like several "branches" like a worm with tentacles?

No.. they don't appear to be anchor worms, even under a magnifiying glass. and they don't look like Planaria. They look like little pieces and bits of string, white string that jsut flaot around the water and get caught in algea on the tank walls. They actually will hit a fish and bouncy off and just float, or corkscrew itself away.

I have them too :) . Discovered them about a year ago, and i was told they were nematode worms which are apparently harmless. Once you have them there's pretty much no way of getting rid of them, but they have never caused me any harm. I never see them anymore anyway, just occasionally i may see one if im doing a big tank clean and i disturb loads of gravel.

Or the fish ate them, glad there gone.
