HELLO i have question concerning my tank

its a 20 gal long (and no i dont plan on keeping them in there long) But i have a few fish including green terror, tiger oscar, channel cats, alagae eater...... there all pritty small 3 inches for the chiclids i guess..... The green terror is a little bit bigger then the oscar but not much at all.... i just put the tiger in 2 days ago, but the green terror is chasing it . i cant say that is bitten up cause it usually get away and it has no marks... but the oscar goes in the corner alot to get away for the green terror, but the oscar still comes out to eat and he can eat good... is he stressed?????? is it okay to be in the corner alot even though he still eats......what should i do herr................... help please

Even now that tank is too small for those fish. You need to get a substantially larger tank 75Gall or more id say and soon. Or get rid of them and get some sensible fish for that litle tank.

Moved to NW section as Oscar's and GT's are NW cichlids.

Spelling, Grammar?

Also you did ask what should you do, so my reply was to move them to a suitable tank!

Is there really any need to resort to bickering about spelling and grammar? Not everyone is an A class typist, or speller - and it's unfair to pick on them for it if you dont know their circumstances.

Sorry for butting in.

a 3.5 foot arrowana would need a bigger tank then any of those surely?

and the tank is too small and thats why you have aggression.

the oscar cant get away and claim its own space.

If you're going to pick on someone's use of the English language, it's best to ensure yours is immaculate. I won't correct it, as you are the fountain of knowledge on this (or you wouldn't be picking on others), so you must already know what I'm talking about.

Sam's advice is spot on, so I won't add to that. Just sad to see this kind of insensitive and arrogant posting again.

enough is enough. any more bickering and those folks will get a time out. thats all I am going to say about that. and Sam is right, even at a small size the fish are fighting for territory. thats all there is to it. so to answer your question yes the fish are stressed out espically your little oscar.

well said!! im fed up with all the silly bickering on here... no need...

Yes, the oscar has no territory to claim as his own and I would say a GT is a bad idea with a Oscar as the GT is much more aggressive then the Oscar and will just always be a pain to the Oscar even with lots of room.
