i had to move my female platy to the large community tank, the sunset platy was chasing her and being really aggressive... what's the deal with that?

I see that behavior all the time - male platy will chanse female platies. For some reason, he doesn't chase all females the same way. He lets one or two be near him but others, absolutely no mercy! The best solution are one male with many females and lots of hiding places...
