Aggressive Platy // Advice?

I have one Platy being particularly aggressive to another, I have 8 in total and the aggressive one has no problem with any other but singles this one out, I've took him out and sat him in a tub to give the other a break but he can't stay there for long, the moment I did the other one perked up straight away after trying to hide for days, any ideas why this is and is there anything I can do??

Do you have all males? And if you have females, how many females and how many males?

Based on Google pics I seem to have a mixture, maybe 5 females and 3 males, the one getting nibbled seems smaller, longer and possibly female, it appears to have a black spot indicating its pregnant?? I'll try to get a pic.

The aggressive one I'm 99% sure is male.

You should have a 2:1 ration of females to males. If the aggression doesnt stop, then you may need to rehome the agressive one.

Well I took him out for an hour or so, fed him a little and put him back in, that seems to have calmed the situation for just now.

Could they have just been establishing a dominance? I have a tank with 2 Female Mollies and 2 Female Guppies, in this tank the Gold Dust Molly is clearly the boss. Infact there was a small dominance scrap between the 2 Mollies earlier.

I had an aggressive male platy, but my male to female ratio was not what it was supposed to be. Added some ladies and everything if fine now. Mollies are a little different. Just like molly fry swim with mommy. Platy and swordtail fry run from mommy cause mommy will eat them.
