I picked up some Cardinal Tetra from MA, Syon Park and spent a couple of hours getting them into the tank. Now my Penguin Tetras haven't left them alone all afternoon/evening. They are chasing everyone round the tank.
I've done some reading and found out they get aggressive when they are the largest fish in the tank and this has only become obvious since i re-homed 2 clown loach and my remaining giant danio.
I had some ideas for sorting this out and wondered whether people thought they were good/bad. Thanks.
1. Really Hopeful ... Would getting a pair of blue rams "reset" the large fish balance in the tank. Or would they just start picking on them too?
2. Could try removing them and shuffling the tank around to reset the boundaries?
3. Would anyone like to swap 2 penguin tetra for black neons or cardinals??
I put the most aggressive one in a bag floating in the tank for a few hours just to give the little ones a break, but i just released him for the overnight. If i come down in the morning to find i don't have my 5 cardinals i won't be best pleased
What do ya think? any ideas
