Aggressive Molly

I have a 3" Sailfin Molly that will not leave my 1.5 - 2" platies alone, are these mollies usually this agressive?
I just tried to net the bugger so I can isolate him but he caught on and is hiding behind a large rock!
what should I do?
Its also worth noting I bought this guy at walmart along with a another whos swim bladder went! The rest of my fish came from a much cleaner pet store

is there only 1 mollie in the tank now? is it male? if so get him a couple females so he is not alone. they do not make very good solitary fish

yes its a male, hes always been aggressive, he won't stop biting at the mollies

You can do what I do, put him in time out, I got a liuttle fish bowl and when I have a fish being bad they go there for a few days and it seems to help

i had a similar problem the other day trying to catch some fire mouths if you take out the rock and still cant get them the trick i used and im not saying its the right way to go is to move everyone else... 8) hmm i cant help thinking i did the wrong thing

thats funny jamnog, move every one else I just remove my decorations and use 2 nets (only on the hard to catch buggers). one to chase them and one to trap them.

after two attepts to catch him hes now in hiding, hopefully he will clam down now, I don't think hes biting the Platies but hes at least really annoying them, Is it normal for him to hide after I try to catch him? several of the newer platies are hiding after all of the excitement..
however the fat platies I've had for several months could care less about me trying to net the Molly

oh ... umm... i genuinely did moove everyone else well pretty much .. guess im lucky i dont have that many fish so far its the old mts coming in id rather by a new tank than upset the ones i have established. B)

edit : try some low leval lighting fish are allways slower in the dark dont ask me why
