Aggresive Platy

i have just added 2 male gourmai to my tank.Before that i have 3 blue platies then 1 week later another.Well one of my platys which i recently got keeps attacking my gourmai and some other platies.The aggresive one has being taken out of a tank and brought into my on its own.I was wondering what i could do to stop the aggresivness maybe i will take him back to the shop

You sure its a male? Females can get aggressive when pregnant. Bizarre that a platty would pick on something as huge as a gourami

We have 4 female platy's Bert, Ernie, bought 2 more today (Sam and Dave) as one of our original platy's Ernie kept being aggressive to the other Bert and actually damaged it's fin - but yesterday Bert became the aggressive one. Our LFS which has been quite helpful suggested that maybe a couple more would help them settle down - but Bert is still being aggressive. i think that Dave is pregnant but choses to get in the way!

I know this doesn't help you but would be grateful to find out what can be done too - don't wanna take any back to lfs!

thats intresting to know that femal;e platys get aggressive when pregnant, as i got a new cory today and she is very heavily pregnant (the platy) and she started attacking the cory.very bizzar from a platy i thought
its even more bizzare that you 1 is attacking a bigger fish in the gourami.not much i rearly can help woith though as i have never heard of this befor.
