I have a pair of pearls, male and female.

Lately the male seems to be more aggresive to his tankmates especially my corydoras. Before he would have ignored them. He was always pushy with the female. Is he just marking his territory?

He leaves my betta splendens alone. If anything he seems scared of the betta.

You might try adding another female Pearl to the mix. How old is the male? I'll bet he goes after the Btta when he gets larger..............The Btta you have may be adult & maybe your Pearl is a juvenile?

Hmm, think i should be worried about my betta.

Ive only had them about 3 weeks. He must be about 2.5-3 inchs long. Will another female dampen his aggro or will it just give the rest of the tank some respite.

Feel sorry for the corys.

It will help distribute the aggression, or at least that's the theory. Good luck. My male Pearl only chases the female a little bit, he leaves the rest of the fish alone. Eventually I'll add another female Pearl to the mix but right now my overall balance of power seems fine.
