hi, around 5 years ago i got a small shoal of tiger barbs think there was around 8, last year i lost all but 2 of them, all with no signs of illness. i just put this down to old age but the last to are still going strong. they are about 6 or 7 cm so am guessing fully grown and havent really grown in the past year.
i was just wondering if anybody knew how long theyd live for?. i know theyre supposed to be kept in groups of atleast 6 but dont want to buy any more as all the lfs ones are tiny compared to mine and am sure they would just get bullied.
thank you

You should be able to add new tigers without any issues; I have done this lots of times. I don't know exactly how long they live for; my oldest ones (to be fair, there are only three left out of the original dozen) are seven.

I've read they can live 5 to 7 years if well cared for. So fluttermoth's will probably live double that! :good:
