Hi...

Like I have mention before I have (3) Bleeding Hearts with Ick, I have been doing the salt treatment since Sunday and they still have the ick. I have 19 other fish which I don't think they have it. If I started doing treatment with medication everybody said to take out the carbon filters, how long do I leave them out? Won't the tank get really dirty without having the filters in? Would anyone have anymore suggestion about what to do about the ick? I don't want the other fish it get it. My tank is not cycled yet, which I know I added the fish in to early, I'm a newbie and didn't know anybetter. Any suggestions what to do......

Thanks,

Bad water quality can cause whitespot as it stresses the fish.
You only remove the black carbon from the filter and that it.
Throw the carbon away it only works for two days anyway, once it dried out it useless.
You only need to use carbon when removing meds from the tank, it's a complete waste of money to run it all the time.

Whitespot raise temp to 30.
Increase aeration as the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
