Hiya, i was wondering, after the fry come and go, could I put a female betta in my tank?

I am not sure of the size of my tank, but it is between 15 gal and 20 gal. In it i already have....

5 tetras
two platys
two mollies
three male guppies

cheers

your guppies will be eaten probably

Do you mean the adults or the fry? Any new babies may get eaten yes, but given enough cover they would probably be ok. Is the tank planted at all? Bettas aren't the fastest of fish.....

Sometimes guppies will get nipped by bettas - usually the male bettas tho. Those colorful tails just beg fin nippers to take a chomp.

If you want to give it a try, have a backup plan and keep a careful eye on things. Bettas can be great community fish, but it usually depends on the individual.

I am getting a cheap five gallons set-up for the male or female fry to go in, or i can make soem other rrangments, its just i will have to consider keeping it empty to to pregnant fish coming from the petshop or fish shop..
