My beautiful pair of dwarf peacocks seem to have got it together! The female isn't eating and has a bulge around her jaw. Hopefully she's brooding eggs, I'm very excited :hyper: Does anyone know how long til the eggs hatch? I reckon she's been brooding them for about 3 or 4 days now.

i just stripped my one lwanda female today to tumble the eggs and yesterday i stripped another female who was holding for 18 days and the fry are free-swimming no eggsacs

Thanks. How do you "strip" them? Is it essential or do they let go of their eggs naturally?

Best to let them go naturally if you can, IMO, but there is nothing wrong with stripping if you know what to do. Stripping them is basically forcing open their mouth to let the fry swim out - there are a few methods.

mmmm.......think I'll pass on that one and see how she goes naturally.
