Up until about a week ago, I hadn't had any experience with aquatic pets until I received two african dwarf frogs and two guppies for my birthday. Everything was going well until about 3 days in when the water started getting murky, to the point where I couldn't see them. They are in a small tank but it was recommend by the pet store according to my friend. Three days after changing the water(all at once which I realized was a mistake) I lost a guppy. I decided to change the water and clean the tank to avoid spreading any possible disease. Like I said, I have no experience with aquatic pets. So this morning, I wake up to a bloated and dead frog. This evening I walk into my room to see the other one lying on his back motionless, Thinking he was dead, I took him out and he began to move his legs. When I placed him back in the tank he went right onto his back again and has been very unresponsive.
(I've been feeding them sinking shrimp pellets which seem to fall apart before they are consumed)
This may be dramatic, but I am getting very discouraged knowing these guys can live to be 20 years old.
Any Advice?
